Greg Hirst has held a number of senior positions in a 22-year career in the high tech industry. In his Business Development role at Forbidden Technologies, Greg is responsible for managing customer and partner relationships and delivering the company's technology into real life applications.

Forbidden Technologies plc develops and markets a powerful internet video platform, which is used by broadcasters, in professional web video, in education and by consumers. Forbidden's video post production platform, FORscene, is one of the world's most advanced browser-based applications. Simple enough for producers and directors, yet responsive enough for editors, FORscene’s web-based editing system enables professionals to collaborate on video projects anytime, anywhere.

Utku Can Akyuz is the Product Manager at Mint Digital, a London and New York based software development firm.  When he is not busy working on websites, he says that he can be found preaching to anyone who will listen about cutting edge social web stuff. His latest obsessions are real-time web, two-screen consumption and data visualization.

Mint Digital is a social web technologies company who build mass participation websites, often for TV.  Working with clients like Channel 4, Orange & BBC, Mint has been behind sites such as Sexperience, Unsigned Act and Landshare. Mint is currently in beta with Football3s, a live fantasy football game.

Andrew Nixon is a founding partner of Name, a North East based arts and design organisation and part of the Novak Collective.  Name specialises in Audio Visual performance and large scale multi media events and productions.  Working across web design, motion graphics and video production, Andrew’s main work concentrates on 3D Disco, a live club based AV performance where the audience is treated to a full 3D visual show. Andrew is also studying for a Masters Degree in Digital Media at Culture Lab in Newcastle University, focusing on ways of developing AV performance and digital instrumentation.
